A journey beyond my mother's recipes
Grilled pork balls
1 lb fresh ham
3 oz pork fat
2 T roasted rice powder
2 shallots, sliced
4 cloves garlic, sliced
1/2 T rice wine
fish sauce, pepper, sugar, oil
food color
scallion oil
pounded roasted peanut
Peanut sauce

My stepmom tried to substitute these for our spaghetti's meatballs one night. It didn't turn out so good....haha. We still make fun of her spaghetti and "nem balls"
Haha..
Don't know if I would enjoy nem balls with spaghetti but it's good with rice vermicelli salad.
