Canh Bí

1 small hairy gourd, julienned (about 1 cup)
1 T small dried shrimp, soaked in warm water
2 cup water
1 green onion, chopped
4 sprigs cilantro, minced
1 T. fish sauce
pepper to taste

Put 2 cups of water in a small pot, add shrimp, over high heat bring to boil. Add gourd, bring back to boil for 2-3 minutes, add fish sauce, green onion and cilantro. Pepper to taste.
